On this 390-acre nature preserve, find hiking and horseback-riding trails, nature center, pond, boardwalk, and picnic area. FENCE and the Pacolet Area Conservancy Saturday hikes throughout the year. Also, check the calendar for equestrian events, bird walks, concerts, and more. Free and open to the public. Lodge available for private gatherings with reservation and rental fee.

Harmon Field is a public park of approximately 45 acres dedicated to sports and recreation. It is the home of the nationally recognized Blue Ridge BBQ Festival and host of many equine events. At Harmon Field you will find paved walking trails, covered picnic tables, a fenced Tiny Tot playground, baseball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts and a seven-hole putting green. Walk the trails and listen to the river or find an old log cabin.
Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail

Three miles of trail certified by the National Parks Department as a historic trail, once traveled by members of a Patriot fighting militia force during the Revolutionary War. A marker placed on a brick entrance to the trail at White Oak Plantation identifies the trail as an official part of the National Park Service trail system. Certified trail sections are open to the public from dawn to dusk and are maintained by the park service.

Drive along this scenic 10-mile byway that follows the Pacolet River from Tryon to historic Saluda. View waterfalls, wildflowers, and beautiful vistas. Take US 176 North from Tryon or South from Saluda.

Come see this fine collection of historic artifacts, located in the historic Tryon Train Depot. Open Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 - noon or by appointment. There is no charge for admission.
Rogers Park

This town park features a 250-seat amphitheater made of stone and a reception/gathering area. A small creek and short trails meander through the park. There are rock walls and beautiful landscaping. Local events and performances are held here including the popular Rogers Park Summer Concert series (check the calendar for performance dates). The two acre facility is located on West Howard Street behind Tryon Town Hall.
Shunkawauken Falls
One continuous cascade from the summit of White Oak Mountain. Originally named Horse Creek Falls, the name was changed in 1891 in honor of an Indian Chief.
